Ingredients
- ½ cup all-purpose flour
- 2 teaspoons paprika
- ½ teaspoon garlic powder
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ¼ teaspoon black pepper
- 1 large egg, beaten
- ½ cup panko bread crumbs
- 1 pound cod fillet, cut into strips
- Cooking oil spray
- Tartar sauce, for serving
- Lemon wedges, for serving
Instructions
1. Prep your dredging station.
- Bowl 1: Mix flour, paprika, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
- Bowl 2: Beat the egg.
- Bowl 3: Add panko breadcrumbs.
2. Coat the fish.
- Pat cod strips dry with paper towels.
- Dip each strip in the flour mix, then the egg, then the panko. Press lightly so crumbs stick.
- Spray both sides with cooking oil.
3. Air fry to perfection.
- Place fish in the air fryer basket.
- Cook at 400°F for 10–12 minutes, turning halfway.
- Check with a fork—fish should flake easily. If not, return for 1–2 more minutes.
4. Serve & enjoy.
- Pair with fries, tartar sauce, and a squeeze of lemon.
