Ingredients
- 150g sharp cheddar cheese, grated
- 50g Parmesan cheese, grated
- 100g all-purpose flour
- 50g butter, softened
- ½ tsp paprika
- ¼ tsp salt
- ¼ tsp black pepper
- 1 egg yolk
- 1 tbsp cold water (if needed)
Instructions
Step 1: Prepare the Dough
- In a bowl, mix the cheddar cheese, Parmesan, flour, paprika, salt, and pepper.
- Rub in the softened butter until the mixture resembles breadcrumbs.
- Add the egg yolk and mix to form a dough, adding water if necessary.
Step 2: Shape & Air Fry
- Roll out the dough to about ½ cm thickness and cut into strips.
- Place in the air fryer basket and cook at 180°C (350°F) for 8–10 minutes until golden and crispy.
Step 3: Serve & Enjoy
- Let the cheese straws cool slightly before serving.
